About Our Program

Journey of Hope (formerly Fields of Hope) is a work empowerment program for survivors to learn essential life and job skills. Participants engage in a curriculum designed to develop their skills and nurture interests. Mentors and coaches help residents understand budgeting, participate in internships, and open savings and checking accounts.

Survivors learn how to create custom merchandise such as candles, soaps, lotions, artwork and jewelry. Proceeds from product sales provide payment to participants for their internships. These steps assist in preparing survivors for a successful transition to independent living and meaningful employment.

Our products are handmade by the survivors in our program.

Our girls are encouraged to dream big, have faith, and believe in a future where they have the freedom to achieve all of their goals.

There is a famous quote associated with the dandelion, "Every breath is a second chance, every wish is hope for a brighter future." The dandelion – a fluffy, whimsical flower. How many of us have fun childhood memories of picking a dandelion, making a wish and then blowing the white ball and watching the fluff blow away in the wind, giggling as we dreamed of our wishes coming true. Sadly, for our young survivors of human sex trafficking, perhaps they never had the opportunity to truly be a child and wish upon a dandelion.

The dandelion can thrive in difficult conditions. People say the flower symbolizes the ability to rise above life’s challenges. It is no coincidence that the dandelion symbolizes the Fields of Hope® product line.

For our young lady survivors, we believe:

“Every breath is a second chance and every wish is hope for a brighter future”
